Breast cancer reconstruction is performed by Dr. Frank J. Ferraro, MD at Plastic Surgery Specialists of New Jersey. The procedure is done in conjunction with the breast surgeon. The placement of the tissue expander (temporary implant) is placed at the time of the mastectomy.
Subsequent surgery is done to remove the temporary implant and place the permanent silicone implant. Dr. Frank J. Ferraro, MD in Ridgewood, Bergen County uses specific silicone implant sizes and shapes to allow the best cosmetic outcomes.*
